Hello everybody Father John came is here and I'm making this video for you today really is kind of Pastor once removed for you you know I know many of you the area but you're here and you're knocked our school so I really think I am your pastor in many many ways so I could just give you a little bit of a encouragement during this time I know it's difficult for all of you take me to sync our way to it no we have to respond to the challenges that we certainly have right now I know many people are having economic challenges and very serious so we really need to sit doesn't work with each other through this but we can add something to our lives that might help us really guess who maybe some of the dark days that we are now experiencing and will continue to experience for quite a while but not sure when school is opening or anything like that we updates you know that we're percolating with it trying to get together but it's a lot of questions right now and I know cancel an unsettling I also know that financially it's a very challenging time and that's also something that I'm sure many of you are concerned about so my message isn't into really talk about coming back here I want to make sure you're here whatever the message just for you and your families that is coming from us and we will love you and care for you and everyone who works at our school does it really cares for you. Don't ever forget that and it's true that in mind that is like to read this as I've sent this to the entire parish and it has to do with the Feast of the Ascension Isaiah Priscilla I did it yesterday today is Friday May 22nd yesterday we celebrated the Ascension of Jesus going back to his father and one of the phrases that he uses that encourages his disciples with the Singapore and this is what I'm focusing on in my little reflection today he says I will not leave you orphans and I really want you to think about that I will not leave you orphans what's that mean the god going to come out of the sky and somehow rearrange our world for us today I don't think so I don't think so. But God is certainly given us everything that we needed courage enough with these words I'm not leaving you or so what might that mean so these words I will not leave you orphans by Jesus words they're so reassuring to hear right now residing in New York City during a terrible pandemic the doing this time I see Jesus Promised coming through loud and strong everyday sitting across the street from Lenox Hill Hospital makeshift morgue on the street outside everyday it reminds me of the sacrificial love of the doctors and the nurses the nurse practitioners the A's the Janet and the food staff who work with the infected everyday but I had my groceries to the cashier I see Jesus sacrificial love in accident when I take a train or a bus I thank God for these wonderful people endangering their lives every day to keep me moving along when I get a Fresh Direct Delivery I pray for the wonderful Soul was making sure on said when I I see the mail order a pizza I hear Jesus promise I will not leave you orphans I try not to forget the farmers will make sure that I get the food I need I try not to forget this. three workers who make the things I need to function day-to-day I greedy for the men and women who died at the Tyson Food plant in Iowa the Unseen and unappreciated Heroes they poured out there to me I want the economy to come back strong but whose economy will it be these unsung heroes are the poorest paid people in the nation their economy I've been changed at all it has only gotten more dangerous to drive the bus to deliver the pizza these men and women on maintaining the foundation of our society safe and privileged wait for everything to get back to normal but that day comes these Heroes just might remain unappreciated and economically fragile an unjust and cruel is our world is I Look to these little people Miss used and unappreciated unappreciated I Look to them for inspiration what does a note or not they're following Jesus commandment because they're pouring themselves out in love everyday everyday they whisper to me great promise I will not leave you orphans I know many of your people your families are people in the service industry so we really pray for you everyday I gathered with the nuns for Mass every day is 5:20 in the evening and we will have to depart wall safe and sound in the church but we pray for you everyday we remember all the families of our school sometimes how to mine specific people maybe it'll of suffering at the present time and we pray for you that way then I encourage you to just going to be a link at the end of this message message Lucas Etter to know. is a link this is anyone you want to pray for so I just hit the link give us the names say what week to pray for and every day will bring up those prayers for you so don't hesitate at all you don't have to be Catholic to be part you can be any religion in the world that's fine I will still pray for you. So don't be afraid it all to hit the link that the kids are some intentions call Andrew save a little prayer saw the most loving thank you for giving us an opportunity to really assess our commitment at Cypress of Jesus you may for long-time have forgotten your little people they they forgive us and may we forgive and may you forgive us I was consumed by desire for safety and Comfort Inn status I forgotten that only love matters love that manifest itself in sacrifice so I thank you today for your prom I can't promise that you'll be with us always and that you'll never leave us our fence amen so God bless you don't you don't be afraid to send in your intentions and we hope to see sometime in the fall or whatever we can open our door safely it's going to be a challenge but you'll be there and you'll rise to it I know that that's so have a good a few weeks before we start telling you about the openings whatever that's going to be really try to relax a little bit and try to strengthen yourself a little bit really don't get discovered that's the main thing and keep those words in your mind I will not oh my God bless you and your families thank you
