Welcome Letter to the 2025-2026 School Year!

Ms. Smith and Jeanites
Dear St. Jean Baptiste School Community,

The opening of the 2025–2026 school year marks more than a return to classrooms and familiar routines; it is a moment to reaffirm our mission and identity as Jeanites. Each new year invites us to look ahead with intention, guided by the values that have shaped our school for generations.

St. Jean Baptiste High School stands firmly in the tradition of the Congregation of Notre Dame, inspired by the enduring vision of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys. St. Marguerite saw education as a liberating force, one that develops intellect, deepens faith, and prepares individuals to serve the common good. Her example challenges us to create an environment where academic rigor, moral integrity, and service to others are not separate pursuits, but interwoven parts of a whole education.

To our students: this year will bring both challenges and opportunities. You will be asked to approach your studies with discipline, participate fully in the life of the school, and live our values in your daily choices. Whether in the classroom, on the field, in the arts, or in service to others, each experience will help shape the women you are becoming.

To our families: your partnership is essential to our mission. We are grateful for your trust and for the example you set in supporting your daughters as they grow into young women of character, leadership, and purpose. Together, we will ensure that their time at St. Jean prepares them not only for academic success, but for lives of meaning and contribution.

As we begin this year, let us remain united in purpose and steadfast in our commitment to one another. Guided by the spirit of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys, may we face the year ahead with focus, faith, and a shared dedication to the community we are building together.

Sincerely,

Molly Smith
