About St. Jean's

Outside of St. Jean's

Founded in 1929, St. Jean Baptiste High School, located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, educates young women of diverse strengths and backgrounds.

Through a rigorous academic program, St. Jean Baptiste High School prepares its graduates to excel in college and their future professions. As a Catholic community rooted in the spirit of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys, the foundress of the Sisters of the Congregation of Notre Dame, St. Jean Baptiste High School develops women of faith, service, and leadership and empowers the whole community to participate actively in the transformation of society for a more just world.

The St. Jean Difference

A Community and Sisterhood Where You Belong

At St. Jean Baptiste, students become part of a close-knit sisterhood where they are known, supported, and truly valued. From the first visit to everyday life in the halls and classrooms, there is a genuine sense of connection—students build lasting friendships and feel comfortable being themselves.
