Art Incentive Scholarship for Class of 2030
St. Jean Baptiste High School Art Scholarship Application Instructions
If you are interested in applying for an Art Scholarship, please complete the following form and upload your Art Portfolio by January 12, 2026.
Portfolio Submission Guidelines:
When submitting your portfolio via this Google form, please create a folder in Google Drive, label the folder with your full name, and upload the three required pieces listed below. You are encouraged to also include an art piece of your choice.
This submission is the first step in the application process. If selected, you may be invited to an interview, which will include drawing a still life during the meeting.
Important Note:
Drawings or illustrations of characters from the internet, cartoons, or similar references should not be included in your portfolio. While these are fine to practice on your own, the portfolio should reflect original work created from direct observation.
Portfolio Requirements:
All submitted work must be drawn or painted from observation, meaning you should create your pieces by looking at real-life objects or scenes. Each piece should utilize the entire space of the paper.
Your portfolio should include the following three pieces:
1. Self-Portrait
A graphite pencil drawing created by looking at yourself in a mirror.
2. Still Life Composition
A drawing or painting (in any media) of at least three objects. The objects should overlap and be arranged on a surface.
3. Interior Space Drawing
A drawing from observation of an interior space. This can be the inside of a room, refrigerator, drawer, or any other space that holds personal significance to you. Be sure to fill the entire page with your interpretation of the interior.
Thank you for your interest in applying, and we look forward to reviewing your submissions!
