Testimonials

At SJB, I was encouraged to lead with confidence, grow through challenge, and dream beyond what I imagined was possible. SJB has been the foundation of my growth as both an individual and a leader. The Chutney Dance Team taught me the true meaning of leadership - guiding, empowering, and listening to others. Becoming captain pushed me outside my comfort zone and helped me discover strengths I didn't know I had. With the support of my guidance counselor, I joined the Seeds College Prep Program at Columbia University, which gave me the confidence and tools to navigate the college application process. SJB's College Essay Writing Program helped me craft a personal statement that played a key role in my acceptance to New York University!

Serving as Student Council Secretary and later Vice-President taught me how to balance responsibility with empathy and clear communication. These experiences prepared me not just for college, but for life. As I move forward, I carry with me the lessons and values instilled in me at SJB-knowing that, like so many Jeanites before me, my story is only just beginning.

SJB gave me the foundation and guidance I needed to follow my dream of making a difference in the medical Field. In the fall, I will begin my studies at the Connell School of Nursing at Boston College with the hope of building a career dedicated to Obstetrics and Gynecology.

My years at St. Jean Baptiste were filled with opportunities that helped me grow, especially through healthcare internships. At Weill Cornell, I received mentorship in human anatomy and spent time in gross anatomy labs- experiences that deepened my passion for medicine. The Lenox Hill Summer Physician Assistant Program gave me an incredible chance to observe surgeries and procedures in Neurology, Obstetrics, Cardiology and General Surgery.

For my senior-year Christian Service, I witnessed patient care firsthand and shared my journey through a presentation on my nursing experiences with the Lenox Hill Nurse Youth program. I'm deeply honored to have received a full scholarship to attend Boston College through the QuestBridge National College Match, an am excited to begin my college studies!

I graduated from SJB more than a decade ago, but every new alumnae experience reminds me why the school remains a cornerstone in my life. I've stayed connected as a proud Jeanite - volunteering at Open Houses, welcoming new families, teaching in the University Bound program, and recently chaperoning the inaugural study abroad trip to France. Each opportunity has helped me live out the values I gained at St. Jean's while continuing to grow personally and professionally.

St. Jean's isn't exactly the same school I left in 2012, and I'm glad. Its ability to grow and adapt makes me proud. In a world that is constantly changing, SJB remains remarkably resilient. Today's students are still big-hearted, grounded and determined, navigating high school with the same grace and tenacity that shaped my own experience. Jeanites are special, and every time I reconnect with the community, I'm reminded just how true that is. It's why I'll always come back and why I'll always give back.
