On Wednesday October 23rd, over 50 Saint Jean Baptiste High School students attended the annual Oslo Freedom Forum held atThe Town Hall theater. Members of SJB's Civic Spirit program were excited to participate in this riveting meeting of pro democracy advocates from around the world including voices from Iran, Hong Kong, North Korea, and Russia. Jeanites heard dramatic testimony of oppression, exile, and imprisonment. However, they also saw the resilience of the human spirit, the power of a single voice to transform communities, and witnessed the unquenchable desire people possess for freedom and liberation. SJB is grateful to the Children's Scholarship Fund who invited us as their guests.
