Anniversary Scholarship Gala

This year St. Jean Baptiste celebrates the 90th anniversary of its founding and the 400th anniversary of the birth of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys, founder of the Sisters of the Congregation of Notre Dame who established St. Jean Baptiste High School. Please join us Thursday, May 21, 2020 at 583 Park to mark this milestone year. All proceeds will support scholarship aid.

As we celebrate the past, present, and future of St. Jean Baptiste and its important legacy as a school that develops strong women of faith, service, and leadership, we take the opportunity to honor Frances Townsend, the embodiment of our Jeanite values. Ms. Townsend was the former Assistant to President George W. Bush for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism. She is an analyst for CNN and has regularly appeared on network and cable television as a counterterrorism, national and homeland security expert. She has received numerous awards for her public service accomplishments. Prior to serving President Bush, Ms. Townsend was the first Assistant Commandant for Intelligence for the U. S. Coast Guard. Before that, Ms. Townsend spent 13 years at the U. S. Department of Justice under the administrations of Presidents George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush.

In addition the Scholarship Gala will honor the Sisters of the Congregation of Notre Dame, many of whom are a daily inspiration to our students as beloved role models, teachers, and administrators.
